Charity shop 'takeover' nets £6500 for hospiceTHE force was certainly with a group of fundraisers when they took part in a charity’s “store wars” scheme. Staff from Symantec, a computer software company, took over the running of the Naomi House charity shop, in Church Street, Basingstoke, on Friday, May 4 – also known as Star Wars day (May the fourth be with you) – and pulled in a tremendous £6,500. Lead by Sam Liddeatt, the team took part in a number of fundraising events prior to the big day, holding cake sales and collected unwanted clothes to sell at the store.
